C.K.S. International Airport Main Terminal Building
Cast-in-place post-tensioned
prestressed concrete framed structure with suspended precast concrete roof
panels. A 4 story high terminal building with one basement.
Terminal
building with air transportation service requirement for large column free
space was designed to provide comfort and speedy airline check in, securing
and custom services. Main airline terminal facility were designed
for its large space and transparency. Side edge columns with inclination
at upper portion form the support to pylon suspend the parabolic shape waffle
slab roof. This provided a huge column free space for all airline
and custom service, and to meet modern world class air terminal facility
requirements.
